Album Name: Rotary International Conference Salt Lake City Return to Albums

Description: George Delanoy, Brea Rotary’s new president, participated in the 98th annual Rotary Convention in Salt Lake City, along with 16,000 other Rotarians from 147 different countries. The 4-day event highlighted the “humanity in motion” actions of RI during the past year, with emphasis on PolioPlus, Clean Air acts, breast cancer awareness and HIV/AIDS fundraising.

2007 Rotary International Convention The Salt Palace was home to the largest convention in the history of Salt Like City. George and Els on the convention floor. Rotarians from Kenya and Nigeria. Rotary signs throughout the city welcomed guests from around the world.
Each of the 147 countries exhibited its flag in opening ceremonies The world-famous Mormon Tabernacle Choir, with 385 voices, provided a Sunday morning service for over 7,500 Rotarians. The Mormon Temple, and emphasis on the family, dominate the scene in SLC. At the new president’s luncheon, new RI President Wilkinson (on the right) led the group in Rotarian songs.
